How to Clean a Down Coat
Down is a great provider of warmth, but it can collect dirt. As it gets dirtier, it becomes less efficient at keeping you warm. Here are tips on keeping your down clean.
1. Place the appropriate amount of soap in the washing machine. Fill 1/4 way with warm water.
2. Place down items evenly in basket of machine.
3. Fill in with large bath towels. (Large bath towels are especially good for adding friction when cleaning kids' dirty coats!)
4. Allow machine to fill with water and agitate several minutes.
5. Open lid. If you find air bubbles in your down articles, squeeze out the air, immerse the articles and restart the cycle.
6. Check for air bubbles midway through the rinse cycle, squeeze out the air, immerse article and restart the machine.
7. Allow the washer to spin dry.
8. Remove down jacket from washer - if you can - depending on it's warmth factor you'll be amazed at how heavy wet down is!
9. Slip an old pair of tennis shoes into socks.
10. Put your jacket into a clothes dryer.
11. Put the shoes and 2-3 clean tennis balls on top of the jacket.
12. Set the dryer on warm and auto-dry for 30 minutes.
13. Check the jacket in 15 min for clumps of feathers/down. Gently break up the clumps by shaking and return to dryer. Check every 15 min. or so until your coat is dry.
Tips on how you can store your winter coat during summer
Check your coat for any missing or loose buttons, or tiny tears in the lining. Mend all these before you put away your coat for the season. Remember a stitch in time saves nine!
Check your coat carefully for stains. If possible, treat the stain with a little spot cleaning. Thereafter give your coat a thorough brushing. This is especially true for prized coats such as the fox fur coat, where frequent exposure to the chemicals used in dry-cleaning may result in the deterioration of the coat fibers and loss of its luster. However, if the stain seems to be difficult to remove, do not hesitate to take it to the dry cleaners. Any stains that are left untreated may set in permanently.
Remove the coat from the plastic package of the dry cleaners as soon as you get them home. These bags trap moisture. This can result in the thriving of mildew and mold in coats. Air your coat for two or three days before you store them.
Store your coat in a well-ventilated closet. It should be hung on a wooden, preferably cedar hanger. Place the coat at the center of the hanger; it should not be leaning towards one side. Coats can be folded in an acid-free tissue paper or clean muslin and placed on the floor of the closet so that the down does not form clumps. However, coats should not be placed one on top of another.
Store your coats in cloth garment bags.
Hang sachets of cedar in the closet. This will act as a deterrent to pests like moths. You could also place mothballs but these balls should not be in direct contact with the coats.
There are several advantages in storing your coat well. It will last longer. It will look good and it will be ready for use when winter comes knocking at your door.

Defective, Damaged or Misshipped Items
Defective, damaged or mis-shipped items are eligible for a full refund. When requesting your refund, please be ready to provide Customer Service with photographs clearly showing the problem with the items. If you believe your items were damaged during shipping, Customer Service will need photographs showing the damaged packaging as well as "Proof of Damage" documentation from your delivery carrier in order to process your refund.
Color Mismatch
